YouTube Videos Stopped Working was created by Eric McAnallen
I'm using AllVideos to embed my YouTube videos into my website. Recently, they stopped working. I get the embedded window but when you click on the play button, it comes back with "An error occured..."

I'm running Joomla 2.5.22 and AllVideos 4.6.1. I verified that the plugin is enabled.

Here is the page with the videos - www.capnmac.com/index.php/en/videomenu/videos

I searched through the forum but I'm not finding anything that is helping.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi. This has nothing to do with AllVideos. It just seems that those videos are not anymore available in YouTube.

Does that mean AllVideos does not work with playlists anymore? I didn't have any problems before.

All the videos are still there. They are coming from my channel. I go to the playlist and use the share option to copy the link then I use that link with AllVideos.

I was able to get it to work with a single video from the playlist but when I try the play list I get the error.

Ah, I see. I just assumed it worked with playlists since it was working when I set it up initially.

I'll blame it on Youtube.

Shame, really. I liked the playlist idea. It saves having to embed fifty videos onto a page.

Thank you for your help.

Playlists, in fact, DO work. But it is not clear exactly what the parameters are. Hopefully, someone at JoomlaWorks can make sense of the following and provide an clear and simple method.

Pasting the URL as it is provided by YouTube for a playlist does not seem to work. However, from a previous forum discussion thread (#53765) a URL was shown (after correcting an added space) that did (and does) work:

www.youtube.com/embed/TN_ExhPDKbM?list=PLjggdf0hyRcpaK8dLrD1_fWLpAdQYfeZQ&rel=0&fs=1&wmode=transparent

I got curious and took my playlist URL that did NOT work:
www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFplAub0tQz78pSVEyPHya-xSLunQ0Tf0

and copied the ID after the = sign and pasted it into the URL up above as:

www.youtube.com/embed/TN_ExhPDKbM?list=PLFplAub0tQz78pSVEyPHya-xSLunQ0Tf0&rel=0&fs=1&wmode=transparent

This DOES work in AllVideos (dev.integralprogram.org/index.php/component/content/article?layout=edit&id=261)

. . . but I don't know why it works, as I am not up on all the coding for YouTube URLs.

Can anyone help?
