The videoencoder you are using will probably have the option for the h.264 codec.


what should i do to solve this problem? i'm a little confused.
you mean i can only play .mp4 with h264 codec? isn't that bad or odd?

It's a format that (most) browsers support.
If the video's format can't be played by the browser then the video won't be shown or it will be shown with issues (eg: no sound).

problem solved in article pages.
but in product pages (im using virtuemart) the video wont show and only the text like {mp4}filename{/mp4} appears.
what is the problem?

Hello,

Make sure that the template supports content plugins.
This issue will affect all plugins not just AllVideos.

hello

yes it does.
when i put the code {mp4}aa{/mp4} in product description it works,
but when i put the code somewhere else like a custom field it doesn't work.

This means that these fields do not support content plugins.
You need to manually trigger content plugins in your template. For K2's extrafields you can use the textarea field and use the WYSIWYG editor.
For VM you need to consult's VMs documentation.
