Thanks for your response, Martin.

I solved it, however, by checking some field in phpmyadmin when doing another export of the file.

Hi Alan,
please update to the newest version of K2

Alan Coyne wrote: Hi,

When I export items , I get a CSV files with just the column names. No items listed.

Joomla version : 1.5
OS version : Windows
K2 version : 2.1
K2 Import / Export tool version : 1.4

Any reason for this?

Thanks

Alan

I still cannot get the created date to work. I have it set just like the example.csv and have the latest release of k2import.

is not a valid date in the "created" column. Will set to 2015-02-16 03:33:35
"2/14/15 12:00 AM" is not a valid date in the "Publish Up" column. Will set to 2015-02-16 03:33:35
"2/14/15 12:00 AM" is not a valid date in the "Publish Down" column. Will set to 0000-00-00 00:00:00 what means "never"

You have to format the date in that way: 2015-02-16 03:33:35
Make sure the date is in that format in the CSV file. Open it with a simple text-editor to check.
In my experience its best to edit the CSV files with LibreOffice. It handles the files better than Excel

The date issue is solved..thanks LibreOffice is by far the best for csv files.

My next question is how can I set the access level in the csv so K2 picks it up? I see it asking but when I extract the items from zoo it does not include it in the csv. So i would have to open each item and change it to public or registered. I tried adding a column Access and used 0 and 1 but neither worked.

an column called "Access" and set to 1 should actually work.
In the import process check if the columns are associated correctly.

You can also set the level how you need it in some items and then export them, so you would have an example file

Hello,

we have a problem to import the extra fields.
The export works fine the fields are all in to our csv file.

if we will import the fields in the new webpage we dont see any possibility to get a field for this.
We think it was working automatcly but it dont work so.

What must we do to import the extra fields with the contend.

Hello,

thanks for your great tool :)

I just paied and downloaded again but cant get it to work, i get this error:

Komponenteninstallation: Datenbankfunktion erzeugt keine Fehlermeldungen
Fehler bei der Komponenten-Installation.

I guess the problem is that i had already installed an older version of the component:
K2 Import Administrator Komponente 1.4 2014-10-02 Artur Neumann Unbekannt 10315
K2 Import Administrator Komponente 1.4 2014-10-02 Artur Neumann Unbekannt 10316

K2 Import Administrator Komponente 1.4 2014-10-02 Artur Neumann Unbekannt 10313
K2 Import Administrator Komponente 0.9_beta3 2012-07-04 Artur Neumann Unbekannt 10220
K2 Import Administrator Komponente 0.9_beta3 2012-07-04 Artur Neumann Unbekannt 10219

This is how it looks like in my extension list. I can not uninstall any of those components:
JFolder: :files: Der Pfad ist kein Ordner! Pfad: /administrator/components/com_k2import
JFolder: :files: Der Pfad ist kein Ordner! Pfad: /administrator/components/com_k2import

JFolder: :delete: Der Pfad ist kein Ordner! Pfad: /administrator/components/com_k2import
JFolder: :delete: Der Pfad ist kein Ordner! Pfad:/components/com_k2import
Komponentendeinstallation: Deinstallation nicht möglich. Bitte manuell löschen.

The directorys are empty.

What can i do? :)

@Michael Frede did you create the extra fields in K2 first. And while importing you would have to select the categorie that is assigned with that particular extra field group
