I am using Joomla 1.5.23 with K2 v. 2.6.2 and I am having the following issue. Whenever I create a category and publish it I can not see it in the frontend afterwards. Strange thing is that I had an existing category, which I hadn't published. When I published it it was viewable, however newly created are not visible in the Category drop down menu. Please kindly assist! Thank you in advance!

FIrst of all please update to 1.5.26 and K2's latest version.
This will probably fix the issue.

If not try turning your cache off and then try to see if the issue persists.

I've upgraded to Joomla 1.5.26 and also to the latest K2 Plug-in. Still the same issue. I've tried reinstalling K2 and now although that I've created new categories and Items, the drop down menu won't appear at all. I've also tried turning the cache on and off and that didn't help either. Do you happen to have any other suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Is the dropdown menu made with the K2 Tools module?
Try turning off cache for that particular module only.
Also this module has an option to select the root category. If you have selected a category, the categories within the same (or above) level will not be shown.
