Hi guys,

There seems to be a problem with K2 front end submission form on JA Purity III template.
First, the Add/edit item opens in new window (not modal pop up - usually a sign of conflict).
Second, the "Close" or cancel button doesn't do anything (guessing it's related).

I'm guessing there's some conflict but I couldn't find what/where.
Can more guys confirm this issue please?

When I try to edit an item in front end though, it's working properly.
The problem seems to be only when adding/creating a new item (through the menu item).

Using all latest Joomla (3.3.1) and K2 components.

There aren't many 3d party modules/plugins installed...
The site is currently under localhost, so no link to show.

I'll appreciate your help.

This issue is related to your template.
It has probably a JS conflict. You should contact the template developer about this issue.

Hint. Check for multiple instances of jQuery. Only one should be present.

I did post it in the JA forum and they referred me to here....
Still couldn't find any conflict.

It seems to be that K2 is not entirely complied with latest Joomla updates.

I applied this fix:
github.com/joomlaworks/k2/commit/03650f061e02bbd727cd51cce829c12cb4d4642e

The page still opens in new window (no modal), but it fixes the 'close' button and now the window does closes...

Any more insights on this?

Check the browser console for any errors when you click the edit link.

i follow the fix proposed by ilan76 and it works perfectly for me! Indeed it's strange that an as powerful tool as k2 doesn't support a so basic function (a better item frontend submission form)!
