Make email field unrequired was created by Adeyemo Timi Michaels
I have a k2 joomla template, under the articles, there's a comment module with comment form. On the form Email is asterixed and set to required. However I don't want to make email required, just optional. How do I work this out ?

Thanks in advance

Hello, unfortunately this is not possible without hacking core files.

Then I will have to edit it then, can you please point out the file and line to edit. I seem to be missing it. I have found the "item_comments_form.php" file but I know there should be a process file that processes the info entered by user.

The fields can be changed from that file (remember to override it) but the validation is done with AJAX and you need to hack core files.
