In the K2 content module it states:

Time range (if ordering is set to 'most popular' or 'most commented')

But I want ordering to be random and within a time range.

Ie random articles published in the last week.

Is there any way to do this?

No, unfortunately this is not supported in K2 Content module. You have to either search for a module with the desired functionality or build it on your own.
