is it possible to set up that K2 items have icons on them to show if it is a video, picture or audio.
if so any idea to do this.

An item can have both image and video. What are you going to display in that case? You can check if an item has an image or a video ( audio is the same you cannot know if the media is an audio ) . The only thing you need to do is use the conditions that are already there in K2 template files:
