I installed the plugin JCE MediaBox and modals. Unfortunately, none of them works in the article K2. What is interesting, given a normal article, Joomla is working properly.

I updated to the latest version of Joomla, K2 updated the latest version, just acted in the case of modules, but it still did not help.

I would add that in the settings -> Server -> General -> Compression pages on NOT

I have no idea what's going on. The article Joomla popup appears normal and in Article K2 popup opens instead of content in a new browser tab. The same goes for any browser.

Please help.

Both links lead to a white page (PHP error).
The issue you are describing is a js conflict. You need to check your browser's developer tools' console tab to see the issue.
