I've inherited a joomla 3 site which has K2 and SH404SEF installed.

I've got an issue with my K2 item urls. When I look in the SH404SEF alias manager, I can see that my K2 items all have the following pattern:

site.com/1-MAINCAT/ITEMID-item-title-alias
site.com/2-SUBCAT/ITEMID-item-title-alias
site.com/3-SUBCAT/ITEMID-item-title-alias
site.com/4-SUBCAT/ITEMID-item-title-alias

Where my categories are:

MAINCAT
SUBCAT 1
SUBCAT 2
SUBCAT 3
SUBCAT 4

I don't want the ID number for the categories appearing in my urls, and would appear that plenty of other joomla sites don't have them either. Now, I can understand what is happening, however I don't understand where this setting is. Is it coming from the menu, K2 or SH404SEF?

Also I don't see any way of setting the url pattern to be thus:

/MAINCAT/SUBCAT/ITEMID-item-title-alias

Would appreciate any assistance in pinning down where I might change the settings to achieve what I need. Apologies in advance if this isn't a K2 issue!

If sh404sef is being used for the sef links then the settings of sh404sef are respected.

You need to double check the "sh404SEF Integration" settings in K2's advanced settings.
