How to set up k2.css in template was created by Christer Eriksson
Hi,

When I put a copy of the default k2.css into my template folder, the styling of the site change dramatically.
The same thing happens when I put an empty k2.css file into my template folder.
What happens? I'm really surprised that the css changes even when the file is empty.

I'm working on a live site with a lot of custom k2 css added to the templates default template.css file.

This is a template issue, you need to contact your template's developer since we do not how the template is structured.

Thank you for your reply!

Then I have some detective work to do, since I developed the template myself. lol

All the best,
Christer

As a checklist do the following.

If you do not want k2's styling
a) Disable K2's css from loading. This setting is located in K2's params.
b) To be 100% sure, include a blank k2.css file in your template's css folder.

If you want to keep K2's styling as is
Make sure that a copy of k2.css is not included in your template's css folder

If you want to override the k2.css file.
Simply copy it from the /components/com_k2/css/ folder to your template's css folder and edit it.
