I have been using K2 for many years and this is the first time to come across this problem.

When I try to make a new menu in the main menu and I select Menu Item Type - K2 - Item (Create a menu item linking directly to an item in K2) the menu is created, but when going to frontend it says : The X page isn’t working
X is currently unable to handle this request.

The link in the backend is shown as : index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&layout=item&id=1

This is not a problem with the other options for creating menus with K2, for example when try to create a menu linking to K2 category, it works fine.

How I can solve this?

I use Joomla Joomla! 3.5.1 and K2 v2.7.0.

Did you notice any php or javascript errors ?

There is some php error, but I don't know how to find out which one is exactly.

Enable error reporting and set it to development.
This option is located in your site's global configuration.

This will show the exact error.

I have enabled error reporting and in the backend in the menu item that I try to make with K2 item it says:

and in the frontend when I click on the menu linked to K2 items it says:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /var/www/html/joomla/templates/tp_runway/html/com_k2/default/item.php on line 691

This is a template issue.
Something is wrong with your overrides, specifically in line 691.

You need to address this issue to the template's developer.

Thanks for the answer. Line 691 is empty as blank space. When I delete it, nothing happens. It's the same. Now I have seen that even when I create a menu from K2 category and when try to click on item to see full preview it shows me the same error:

I f this is not K2 issue, than I should try to contact the template developers.

It is an error of your overrides. Since you are not using K2's default files there is no way of knowing the cause of this error.

Indeed, this issue should be addressed to the developer of the template (and the overrides).
