For safety reasons I enabled a password for any access to the Administrator folder (standard Admin Tools option)

When adding or editing a K2 item, this login popup is triggered. It still works with the cancel button, but still I get questions about it from users.

Any way to prevent the trigger?
And still have the .htaccess. .passwd in place.

Hello Rakesh,

This is an issue of Admin Tools, you have to ask them why the password is being requested more than once.
It should only be prompted once per session or once in a given time period.

It is something that Admin Tools provides as an option, but it not their issue since it is a simple .htaccess .htpasswd that I created within the Administrator folder for extra security.

The problem lies in the fact that when loading the K2 form files from the Joomla/Administrator/Compontents/Com_K2 folder needs to be loaded when entering a K2 Form. And thus triggering the Password request within Joomla/Administrator/ folder
Really wish the K2 Form would not load anything from that folder.

Only thing I can think of now is to disable the htpasswrd :(

Hello there,

Since these files are being requested by RSForm and not K2, you should address this issue to the RS developers.

This behaviour is not a part of K2's core behaviour but a part of 3rd party extensions.
