Please check HERE .
More, the doubled category names have different urls...
I set Joomla's native breadcrumbs module not to use cache, if it makes any difference.
Can you help me solve that?
Thanks.

Can you try using the K2 Tools breadcrumbs module?

You are here: Home/Category/Item
home/category/content/ID-category
When clicking the category name in K2's breadcrumbs you are taken to a page where the items are not displayed as they are meant to be, while if you just type in your browser's address bar mysite.name/category the items are displayed as set in K2's options for category view.
Now I've set K2's Tool breadcrumbs module, please check it again .

Now, having reasoned a little more about the issue I guessed the urls on my website are not "clean" because I actually have a multiple category listing under a single menu entry (this is because I need to use a sub-template to show things within a certain layout and in K2 this is possible only if you list 2 or more categories together): that's why the url generated by K2 breadcrumbs doesn't match the url generated by the menu itself.
And that's also why I had Category names doubled using Joomla's native breadcrumbs.
I think the easiest way to fix the "problematic" breadcrumbs url issue on my website is to setup a redirect that points to the intended page.

You can actually set a K2 subtemplate in the category's settings.
I think that can simplify your site's structure.

OMG! It's the very FIRST option in the category panel and I had never noticed it before :D
Thanks a lot, this solves everything in the best possible way.
