Someone please help me?
The website used Joomla 3.51 and was perfect before upgrading to Joomla 3.6
I upgrade to the new Joomla 3.6 with K2 v2.6.9 and the front end of my site suddenly fails-500, only the Front End. In the backend no problem, perfect backend.
Use K2 v.2.6.9, because I did not like a change in v2.7 k2 administrator so continue with the K2 v2.6.9
The Joomla Editor 3.6, works normal in the backend and frontend.
The problem only occurs with the K2 system in the frontend.
And even allowing for system debugging in the global setting, it does not appear any details about the error 500 Front-end editing page, just 500 error and does not open the editor for the Front-end
Does anyone know a solution to solve the problem?
I wait for possible aid
Thank you in advance
Thank you very much
Success
Jose Carlos

Hello,
You need to update to K2's latest version 2.7 or even better the 2.7.1 DEV version github.com/getk2/k2

Krikor, thank you for your help.
I was in doubt, this version k2 v2.71 I did download and noticed that this component v1.5 is this same server for Joomla 3.6?
This version v2.71 K2, it is stable?
I'll install v2.7 K2 and see first is resolved.
Installing v2.7 and case problems, you are back to v.2.69 k2?
Once you install answer.
My concern is that the site use this in the air in full use.
Thank you so much

Yes, 2.7.1 is stable.

If you need to revert in case another extension does not play well you can downgrade, preferably to 2.7.
Just in case to be extra safe you should backup and have a restore point.

Krikor thank you
One question, in addition to the Backup that will e'claro.
In case you decide to do downgrade, as never did, the system accepts install an earlier version (type 2.69 on top of one that is already installed v.2.70
This is how you do downgrade?
My question is this, if accepted install over even earlier to downgrade?
Or is there another way to do the downgrade?
I am afraid to uninstall the version of K2, as it has over 25,000 news site.
I look
thank you

Hello Jose,

Yes you can install the older version on top.
You can get 2.6.9 from getk2.org/downloads/?f=K2_v2.6.9.zip

NEVER (I cannot stress this enough) when updating/ downgrading K2.
You will lose 25k items. That won't be fun.

Krikor thank you
You should understand this my caution, just not to lose 25,000 News website that are published through the k2 v2.69.
I found that the problem is in the libraries folder, as I picked up the libraries folder backup of my Joomla 3.51 and K2 Frontend back to work, but this caused errors in my admin.
You happen to know the folders or files within the libraries that k2 uses the frontend?
Already, thanks

You should perform a whole site backup and exclude the /media and /images folder which hold the most space.

If you update you will not lose any items. If you backup as well, nothing can go wrong.

The frontend dependencies of K2 are located in /plugins and /components folders. The /media/k2/ folder also contains front-end assets.

Krikor hello ...
Okay?
Actually you were right, I created a site 2, a replica of that in the air to test updates. All not to take risks with the site in AR
When upgrading to version 2.70 of k2, the error problem in 500 Front-end is gone, that is the Frontend went on to open normal.
But I identified in updating a problem that can be a BUG, you going to tell if it is or not.
In testing to place items (materials) by the Front End and also the back-end, it opted not to put image, the system yourself search a random image into the images folder and places in the article (material) that has no image.
That is, all articles posted by the Front End and the Back End station capturing an image and posting the article that has no relation to Article (matter) with the image.
Have you ever seen it?
Can you help us?
I look
Thank you so much

This is not the default behaviour of K2. Which other K2 related extensions are you using? Are you using IAKI?
