does anyone know how to move the buttons share, facebook etc. to the top of an k2 article? or do i have to change code in item.php of my template?

solution: i took the item php of my template and added the code for the buttons. not the best way, but... maybe there is a possibility with an override? maybe someone knows

Yes, this is the correct procedure,
Override the item.php file and move the social icons in the place you need them to be.

The social icons box can be identified by the !-- Social sharing --> HTML comment.
