Hi im was using k2 2.7.1 and after updating to joomla 3.6.2 i can no longer see any item or categories . i tried fixing database but still same issue. what can i do to fix this please.

yes item is present on the site front end and in Joomla admin dashboard k2 quick view on home page. but if i go to component > k2 >item or category its empty. i was already on k2 2.7.1 it was working fine with joomla 3.6.1 but as soon as i updated to 3.6.2 i got the issue.

Try repairing your database's tables.

Can you check the source of the site to make sure that it is not a JS issue (markup is there but hidden).

If you try to create a new item, is it stored properly?

An earlier version of Mijoshop can cause issues with Joomla!'s filters.
Can you try clearing your browser's cache and cookies and double check Joomla!'s filters?

Interesting. I've had this happen on two sites, both of which use Mijoshop. Is there a known solution to this other than clearing the cookies every time?

This is an issue of Mijoshop. You need to ask their devs if there is an update which solves this issue.
