Hello, I administer a Joomla web site for my department. There are a number of staff and each has his/her own "User page (blog)" with a biography and photo. This was working well until a recent upgrade of either Joomla (now 3.6.3) or K2 (2.7.1), I don't know which. All K2 users are members of groups and some but not all have posted articles to categories associated with those groups. Since the upgrade, the pages of users that have not posted to categories are redirected to the home page when opened. Users that have posted, have their pages displayed correctly.

Is there a setting that I can change to correct this behaviour?

Yes, the setting you are looking for is "Control K2 User Profile display for users with no items" located in K2's advanced settings.
