Hello everyone.

I am new to the K2 extension so my questions might be a bit "noob" (to use a popular word).

I am trying to use the K2 as a news page (news will be put on the page, newest on top), a blog if you like.
- I don't want people to comment on these items, it is only information.
- Also there is no need for a "Read more..." button, the whole news item should be shown.
- The date and author should not be shown.
- Published in... can be removed too

As I said, these are probably easy to solve questions. Perhaps I could solve them myself if you can guide me to a manual.

Hello,

You can disable the comments from K2's settings.
The rest can be hidden from the category's settings.

None of the items disappeared because I was changing the wrong settings, all is working now.

NEW:
All the non necessary items are gone exept for the "Be the first to comment!" part under " LAATSTE NIEUWS".
This is a module, I cannot find the settings to remove the comment here. Could you please guide me to the right page where I can change this setting?

This is part of the component.
You can disable comments altogether from K2's settings.

I know there should be an option to remove this function but I cannot find it.

I went to Components -> K2 -> Categories.
Here I selected the category where the item is pointing to.
// I assume in this menu I should be able to remove the option.
Here are 3 options with comments which I set to Hide.

Still the Be the first to comment! line shows up.

Could you please tell me which option I forgot?

Check the "Global setting for comments" in K2's parameters, not each category's params, the global ones.
