I have got the Takai template setup on a localhost (live site is www.fulbrookvillage.net), after four days of getting it set up and updating the articles and K2 items, it looked great. Something happened. Maybe on a template setting save? Something has gone wrong where the front page has lost its sidebar and the text for the leading articles has shunted up the side of the image.

This is the second time this has happened, so it is making me feel sure that I am not the only one.. Any ideas?

I have found out what was wrong. No "Takai-SideBar" modules will appear unless there is a module published in the "Takai-SideBarLower" module position.

Am I really the only person who has fallen foul of this?

Hi Sir. Yes. just downloaded it the other day.
Latest Takai
Latest K2
Latest joomla! version to date.

Easily reproducible. I installed another local fresh to try and diagnose and is the same.

Just for your information, once the quickstart version has been installed, the following is required:
  • Fix the database
  • update joomla! to latest version
  • 'Discover' missing install plugins and install them
  • Update K2
  • Clear ALL caches: very important

Please remember that to see any changes you must clear the cache. Probably best to disable the cache plugin while in development.

Hi

The Template that I am using is 1.0.5

The update package says it is 1.0.5, but actually has a lot of 1.0.1 files in it.
