TypeError: Cannot read property 'replace' of undefined was created by Benjamin Donner

After upgrading to Joomla 3.7, editing a K2 Item gives error TypeError: Cannot read property 'replace' of undefined

The K2 Item content is empty when editing it.

When viewing the K2 Item in frontpage, it looks normal and content is shown.

Joomla debug or error reporting does not give me clues about what is wrong.

This problem escalates: K2 Items which I was before able to edit, starts giving this error (and empty intro text / full text content in the edit window) after being edited once. Is it only me having this problem ?!
