Registered K2 pages no longer prompt user for login was created by Surdo
Hi, this may be a template problem, however I have written to my template provider and they have not been able to help so far, so I am trying here.
Before upgrading to Joomla 3.7.0, I could send a link of a registered page (with K2 content) to a contact and they would be automatically prompted to enter login details, and after doing so, would be able to visualise the registered material on the page. Since upgrading to 3.7.0, such links now redirect the user to the home page of the site. For example, please try this registered page:
escuta.org/pt/proj/inst/botanica/intro.html
All the extensions for my site are up-to-date for 3.7.0
Might this have something to do with K2?
Thanks!

Have you tried mapping the login page into a menu item?

Thanks Krikor. Do you mean putting a login module on the registered page? I have that already. The registered page I'd like to send to contacts is exactly the same as the following type of page, with a login form at the bottom:
escuta.org/pt/proj/inst/the-talking-chair/intro.html
I just received another message from my template provider suggesting that I do a backup and update Joomla to 3.7.2 which may have some bug fixes that will help. Will try that now and let you know if it works or not.
All the best!

Just updated to Joomla 3.7.2. Unfortunately the problem remains the same.

Hello Surdo,
This is not a K2 issue it's a redirect bug that 3.7 imported.
You can check it here: github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/issues/15730
What you need to do is create a menu item only for login (nothing to do with the module)
- Create a new menu item
- As a Menu Item Type select Users->Login Layout
- Save it with any name/alias you want.
* you can even set it in a menu visible only for admins, just make sure the menu item itself is Public, and it will still work.
Hope this helps

What a relief! Thanks a lot John and Krikor. Because the site is bilingual, I found it was necessary to have two "login form" menu items, one for each language/menu - and yes, set them for amin access only. All working now.
All the best!
