We got Moz to help our website increase its ranking.

Upon recent crawls, most of the pages being reported by Moz was from k2

Some of the issues being thrown was duplicate title and content for links that has pagination parameters.

For example

www.ourwebsite.com/news?start=8

www.ourwebsite.com/news?start=4

www.ourwebsite.com/news?start=16

www.ourwebsite.com/news?start=36

Can anyone from the community help us in resolving this issue?

K2 uses Joomla!'s pagination plugin.
The same applies to Joomla!'s articles since is Joomla!'s default behaviour.

In addition, MOZ has thrown missing description in the news pages. Is this something to do with joomla default as well?

There are several SEO/SEF extensions present in the JED.
Make sure that they cover your needs without bloating your site and they support K2.
