@Viktor Don't know how long year for you are. For me it says that your last post came 3days and 20h ago. Sorry for the late delay, maybe I should work more often on weekends.
I will send your money back.
BTW: my page says: "the version 1.x is for Joomla 1.5 /1.6 / 1.7 / 2.5; the version 2.x is for Joomla 3.x"
Might help to read before complaning in such unnice way.

extra fields problem 6 days 17 hours ago

Hello Michael,

Please post in this thread - > www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/16491-tool-for-importing-exporting-items-to-from-k2

We are not affiliated with this extension and the developer of that extension is providing support only from that thread.

@Michael Frede did you create the extra fields in K2 first. And while importing you would have to select the categorie that is assigned with that particular extra field group

Hello,

thanks for your great tool :)

I just paied and downloaded again but cant get it to work, i get this error:

Komponenteninstallation: Datenbankfunktion erzeugt keine Fehlermeldungen

Hello,

we have a problem to import the extra fields.
The export works fine the fields are all in to our csv file.

if we will import the fields in the new webpage we dont see any possibility to get a field for this.
We think it was working automatcly but it dont work so.

What must we do to import the extra fields with the contend.
Yes we read your documentation !!

Here our configuration:

the joomla version 3.3.6
the OS version: php 5.5.12 on linux Centos 6.xx
the K2 version 2.6.8

an column called "Access" and set to 1 should actually work.
In the import process check if the columns are associated correctly.

You can also set the level how you need it in some items and then export them, so you would have an example file

The date issue is solved..thanks LibreOffice is by far the best for csv files.

My next question is how can I set the access level in the csv so K2 picks it up? I see it asking but when I extract the items from zoo it does not include it in the csv. So i would have to open each item and change it to public or registered. I tried adding a column Access and used 0 and 1 but neither worked.

You have to format the date in that way: 2015-02-16 03:33:35
Make sure the date is in that format in the CSV file. Open it with a simple text-editor to check.
In my experience its best to edit the CSV files with LibreOffice. It handles the files better than Excel

Does it have to have the time or can i skip that? I need to move about 800 items from zoo it k2

I still cannot get the created date to work. I have it set just like the example.csv and have the latest release of k2import.

is not a valid date in the "created" column. Will set to 2015-02-16 03:33:35
"2/14/15 12:00 AM" is not a valid date in the "Publish Up" column. Will set to 2015-02-16 03:33:35
"2/14/15 12:00 AM" is not a valid date in the "Publish Down" column. Will set to 0000-00-00 00:00:00 what means "never"

Thanks for your response, Martin.

I solved it, however, by checking some field in phpmyadmin when doing another export of the file.

I have not used this extension even though I wanted to. But the first thing you need to do is to load the csv in Excel. But not just open it. Import as data wiht correct comma Separation. There are certain cases where lines are broken (due to an unwanted linebreak by the Export i think) and you can identify them quickly with it.

I get this error when trying to import my .csv file.

422 Found an unescaped quote in quoted field 31 of csv line 0 (text line 1). The first 50 chars from the start of the field are '"catItemTitle=\n'.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for checking and confirming a bug.

I have tested 2.2 and that appears to have resolved the date issue.

Next, click on the Import, but do not select a file first.
It returns error: An error has occurred. 0 The file could not be uploaded.

Personally, it should be better to have the import button disabled until a file has been selected or, provide feedback that no file has been selected.

I've found the bug an fixed it. So there are 2 new versions:
2.2 for Joomla 3.x and 1.4 for Joomla 1.5 - 2.x

Please use the link you got after payment to download the new version. For most people that one should still work. For every EUR you pay you get 10 days of update-service.

FYI, there is a bug in 2.6.8, which there is a fix here: github.com/joomlaworks/k2/commit/9b4c27b60034bc80def73a0c28cd4a15bf81cd38

I have committed the fix and retested, but it still fails, so I attach a csv which was just exported and has not been edited.

PHP Version is 5.3.29

Yea that looks strange, "2014-09-27 15:38:14" should import.
Could you please post that file, so I can try to import it on my computer.

P.S. might be useful to know what version of PHP you are using.
