SIGP as Component was created by SWFSI
... you had such a nice working plugin... images/thumbnails were loading fast.
NOW, with the use of the component, it takes AGES to load the thumbnails..

Could you please explain in understandable English what to with the Thumbnail cache expiration time

If I have 30 galleries... do I need to load one gallery at the time at 120, set it back to zero, load gallery again and set it back to 120

Thank you.

The gallery rendering mechanism hasn't changed. So it's as fast as possible. What may have changed are the specs of your server or the load on your server. SIGPro is still a plugin in the frontend. The backend component is used to manage the galleries in a friendly way, so it certainly doesn't have anything to do with the frontend's performance.

@SWFSI

Hi. The "Thumbnail cache expiration time" refers to minutes that cache will expire after it is created. Set it to a value according your needs. You don't have to change it every time you add a gallery. If you however want the changes to be displayed immediately in the front-end you will have to clear the Joomla! cache by navigating to "Maintanance" -> "Clear cache" in administration area of your site.
