Dear all,

Local access to media files in the following local directory:
<joomla directory>/images/stories/audio/Welcome.mp3

by:
{mp3}Welcome{/mp3}

is successfully!

but when I try to access using remote mode NOT!

my tag looks like this:
{mp3remote}www.mysite.com/_Files/g2data/albums/Multimedia/Audio/Welcome.mp3{/mp3remote}

I have also checked that each of the directory in the directory path:
_Files/g2data/albums/Multimedia/Audio/

are set with permission "755"; while the file "Welcome.mpe" is "644" just like the normal file permissions. I have also tried to set Welcome.mp3 to "777", but this doesn't help.



What's wrong?
Or
Does anyone tested the tag {mp3remote} working properly?

Checked that though permission settings of folders and files are normal but it's strange that:
* putting the link directly in browser:
www.mysite.com/_Files/g2data/albums/Multimedia/Audio/Welcome.mp3

--> would get "no access permission" error as shown below:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access _Files/g2data/albums/Multimedia/Audio/Welcome.mp3  on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

* Actually "public_html/_Files/g2data" is a directory created by Gallery2 photoalbum system, I am not sure if Gallery2 has set something else (other than permission setting) that will prevent un-authorized access to "g2data" directory
--> so do you have any ideas on what's going on?

* tried to move the mp3 file to
"public_html/_Files/g2upload/Welcome.mp3"
or "public_html/_Files/Welcome.mp3"

and place the links directly in browser:
www.mysite.com/_Files/Welcome.mp3
--> the mp3 becomes accessible and auto-played by Quicktimes


* Then I, according to your suggestion, re-download AllVideos and re-install it, the remote tag DOES works!
{mp3remote}www.mysite.com/_Files/Welcome.mp3{/mp3remote}

So my problem is partially solved!
But... if you have any ideas of why the "g2data" directory is not accessible, pls. let me know as this is important to me!

Found that the accessibility problem is due to the settings as set by the .htaccess file in g2data folder!

Trying ways to fix this issue....
