We are planning to make a version of k2 that is compatible with joomla4 for commercial subscription if a feasible number of people showed interest. We already made some progress on that. Please comment here if you are interested.

Sure. I am interested. No problem to pay fees. All our extensions are paid. We totally depend on K2 for our contents.

But I have question. Is there under the control of JoomlaWorks?

Would you give us more about the conditions? I do not want to mess up with the developer who created the extension.

I love when things are clear.

@nimo You're such a smart ass. Move this elsewhere or you're getting banned.

Just to be clear, we have huge respect for k2 and for the vision of JoomlaWorks team,
We think that this vision has reshaped the user experience for managing content within Joomla and many users would have given up on Joomla if k2 didn't exist.

At this stage it is just an idea, we have not contacted the JoomlaWorks team about it, apparently from Fotis reply we should have done that before posting here to clear things out.
The whole idea is to provide k2 users with what you can call an intermediate version of k2 that supports J4 until JoomlaWork official version is available.
The work will be based on the development repo of k2 on github.
The database schema will remain intact, which means that when the official k2 for j4 is out updating to it should not be a problem.
Also no changes to the core will be made other than these required by j4 API in addition to removing (ignoring) backward compatibiliy before J3 latest version (=> respecting compatiblity for latest J3 and J4 only).
No features will be added or removed (hopefully), minor tweaks might be introduced to fix styling issues at the backend due to removal of some JS and CSS libraries by joomla4.
You can think about this work as hiring someone to make k2 J4 compatible for you and provide you with support until the official version is out,
but since it requires a huge amount of work it may not be feasible for individuals to hire a team or a company to do so, plus we don't have any client at the moment that is using k2.
