Looks like the server ran out of memory. Check your php.ini settings - if you have cPanel, you can bump up memory there.

Hi, I'm running this plugin for the first time. Trying to export out of K2, and I get the following error. Hoping you can help.
It's worth mentioning that we have several hundred K2 items.

undefined items were exported, but with some problems:
  1. Unexpected ERROR. We cancel the export. If there are just Warnings and Notices try to set your Error Reporting in System->Global Configuration->Server to 'None' or 'Simple'.

When importing to new site the Item Plugins dont populate correctly. Its not assigning the correct access ID.
Any Suggestions?

@Max If you are looking to upgrade to Joomla 3.x while keeping K2, there is no need to export your content. You can just copy the DB tables of K2, install a new Joomla 3.x site with K2, replace the new site's K2 tables with the ones from the Joomla 1.5 site and then re-install K2 (to upgrade the DB schema where necessary).

Hello all,
i've downloaded this tool, installing on an old 1.5.26 site with K2 ver. 2.4.1.

When i try to EXPORT all my contents, it stop at the first category, only the name and nothing else more. On my csv is only the first row, with heading and comas, and nothing more.

What I should do?

PHP's memory_limit may be reached and thus the process fails.

In any case, you should ask here www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/16491-tool-for-importing-exporting-items-to-from-k2 so the developer of that 3rd party extension can see and respond to your issue (if possible).

Hello community, I have a problem and I would like to know if you can help me. I have installed and running the import module, but I need that when exporting data only export some fields and not absolutely all. I've been reviewing the code but I really do not get where to modify this topic that I do not think is so complex. Thank you very much for your attention. regards

Hi,
When I try to import the .csv file, tell me the following:
Messages
importing items, please stand by
error - Internal Server Error

When reporting this error check Javascript Console for more information

Does anyone know what the problem is? And how can I solve it?

Your server may not have enough resources to process the import (e.g. you reached your memory_limit or one of PHP's timeouts). Thus the "internal server error" message.

In any case, consider posting here as well www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/16491-tool-for-importing-exporting-items-to-from-k2 as it's the extension author's original post and he may be able to assist further.

Hi there,
Thanks for keeping this great tool going. I've used it a few times over the years.

I'm trying to use your import tool and having some success and some problems.

1) trying to download from your page, click details button and there is a modal popup and I get this error. There is also a download button on the page but it don't think it has the same file. version numbers are differernt so I'm not sure if I have the most current version. <version>2.5.BETA.1</version>

To be honest I haven't used it in a long time so I'm not up to date with its features.

What I do know is that people use it. And frankly, if you enjoy developing it, you could at least utilize an ecommerce system like gumroad.com/ or www.e-junkie.com/, both of which are ideal for shipping software the easy way.

New features? I guess you could extend it with users, extra fields etc. or extend it beyond K2, e.g. make it easier to switch from J1.5/2.5 to J3 by offering to export/import e.g. users, articles, modules etc. Feature-wise you'll always find features to add or improve :)

That being said, if you don't enjoy developing the extension anymore however, I can get you in touch with other devs who might be interested.

could you please tell me the version of K2, Joomla and the extension you are using

Please also try to create some articles in K2 and to export them, that will give you a good example

Hi Individual IT, I've downloaded the csv example, and fill it with data, when I want to import it to k2 with your tool, there is no column to associate with it, says "empty" for every single column, what can I be doing wrong?
I have 1200'ish rows to import.
I attached the image

If you have K2 on your current site as well, simply:
- delete all K2 DB tables in the NEW site, import the ones from the current site (this moves the text data and settings)
- copy the contents of /media/k2/ from the current to the NEW site.

Done.

but the demo website its empty, without my articles.

so the question is that, is there a tool for importing/ exporting items to / from K2 to my new joomla ? only items

please advice, even if there is a paid tool
