Hello, would you be so kind to confirm if this is an issue of the plugin? If it's a site's issue, we'll solve it, but if its an issue of the plugin, maybe you should take a look at it, maybe other users are facing it too.

It is not an issue of the plugin.
If you are using links towards http:// links the browser will block them.
You need to use https:// only.

Hello. I have installed a security certificate on my site, and all pages are now secure (https). Since installing, AllVideos was no longer working. In fact, the only plugin that is not working any longer is AllVideos.

I have installed the development version 4.8, but my youtube videos are still not playing. My AllVideos mp3 files are playing just fine after installing the development version 4.8.

I am running the latest Joomla.

Here is a link to view: www.asianaccess.org/latest/blogs/from-the-president-blog/1402-that-we-may-be-one

The only video that is working is the YouTube iframe embed script. This is used in the article.

The AllVideo codes are used at the bottom of the article (in the More Information section). None of these syntax conventions are working.
1. code only {youtube}bxzZVztAz2U{/youtube}
2. short secure URL {youtube}**https://youtu.be/bxzZVztAz2U**{/youtube}
3. full secure URL {youtube}***https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxzZVztAz2U***{/youtube}

And here is a playlist example that no longer works:
{youtube}www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/videoseries?list=PLkA2p-axkHE4_XuaWbn68n7eF4yBiNt_i{/youtube}

I just can't get the YouTube videos to play using AllVideos.

Regards,
Jeff

P.S. - I added asterisks so that the code didn't result in embedding the video on your site. These asterisks are not in the code on my site.

Hello? I haven't seen a response to my issue with regard to AllVideos not working on SSL pages.

I am getting this error:
'www.domain.com/nnnpage/..'. was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource 'www.youtube.com/embed/xzZVztAz2U'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

All other pages on my site is secure, except where AllVideo's youtube embed codes exist. Therefore, I believe this is an AllVideos plugin problem. Please advise.

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Are you using a recent build of the 4.8 DEV version?

Yes, as I mentioned in my first post above, I installed your DEV v4.8.

When I had 4.7 installed, neither youtube or mp3 audio was working. After installing 4.8, the mp3 audio started working, but not the youtube instances.

I tried with both 4.7 and 4.8
4.7 here using iframe with // -> demo.nuevvo.com/sites/radiowave/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&layout=item&id=25&Itemid=120

backend -> jmp.sh/7G8Glmx

Joomla Article -> demo.nuevvo.com/sites/janaro/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=25&Itemid=228

This means that some extension (a content plugin maybe) is forcing http:// part in the iframes.

Turned off JCE. That didn't help.

Are you using any performance enhancing or SEO/ SEF extensions?

No SEF programs. However, after turning off CONTENT plugins one-by-one and testing, I finally did find the offending plugin. It's a plugin of a particular component, Blogsten, that creates/posts articles from email messages. The plugin embeds YouTube links and apparently changes "https" back to "http" resulting in no video showing on forced SSL site.

I can still use this component while unpublishing that particular plugin. I don't use that plugin, because I rely on AllVideos for this function of embedding YT videos.

I am notifying the developer for his benefit.

But i think it's now working. I'm still testing articles and modules that leverage the AllVideos links.
