I am using allvideos 2.5.3, and it seems to be working fine, however it looks like it is downloading the whole video file and playing that (mp4 using quicktime), rather than streaming the file. The file is stored locally on the server.

I did some searches in google and this forum, and this seems to have been raised a few times, but no real answer to what the problem might be.  The file is local to my server - it is located correctly, as it plays once downloaded. There don't appear to be any settings in the mambot settings that would control this.

Is this a problem with the way the video was made ?

I am having the same issue. It will download the video and play it, but I need to find out how to change this to stream the video.

I am having the same issue, but with my flv-streaming . It will download the video and play  only audio,  screen of player (JW Playaer 4.0.46)is black. Same films in any other format (mp4, e.t.c)created Allvideos  mambot  working
