FLV first frame not loaded was created by Jeffrey Hallman
Local FLV file does not show first frame when page is loaded.  IE7 also showing Errors on page. Line 1 Char 161 'null' is null or not an object. Code 0

FF does not show the first frame either and has an embed video slideout when I mouse over the screen.  IE7 does not show this which may be where the script error is.  Can you turn this feature off?

Both will play the video but IE7 requires 2 clicks before it will play.

Joomla 1.5.9
AllVideo 2.5.4
Flash 10
IE 7 and FF 3.0.8
Test URL with video clip:  oakridgeumc.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=66

Thanks

I don't think that "show first frame image" is supported.  I had to create a preview image.

Just create a JPG file, named the same as your video, and place it in the same folder as your video.  Your preview image will then show!

That worked!  Now just have the Errors on Page script errors for IE.

You shouldn't be getting script errors.

Try viewing the same page, without the video, in IE.  Do you still have the script errors?  If so, it is not the video!

Page is fine without the video and with FF and video.  Only issue is when I view it with IE7.  My guess is that it has something to do with the javascript for the slide out embed menu as I see this menu with FF but I don't see it with IE7.

Ahh... That could be the problem.  You should try not using the embed slideout.

I added the jpg and changed the name, but it still doesn't appear.  Any ideas.

Thanks.

I figured it out.  If you have any videos that don't have a cooresponding jpg it will give you an error.  I removed videos that didn't have a jpg and voila.

How do you disable the embed slideout?

I too cannot see the embed slide out option in IE7 or IE8.  I see it with Firefox.  Is this a known issue?

I did not have problems with the video when there were no jpg files matching the videos in either FF or IE7.

Hallman, is it possible their is a conflict with another plugin?

I don't know of any way to disable the embed option.  Anyone else?

Thanks,
BW
