Problem Upload Image was created by Benchoufi Mehdi
Hi,

I am very new to joomla, and so to K2. I have just bought a template on template monster and I installed it successfully. The problem is when I upload an image, I am redirect to an error page telling me that I have no data received with this message : Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)
Does anyone help to fix this problem ?

Best,
Mehdi

Hi there,

did you find a fix for that. I'm having the same issue?
I tried many things but always get that error.

Thanks

Hi. Is this happening when you try to add an image to a K2 item? Front-end or Back-end? Go to K2 -> Information and ensure that your server meets the requirements.

I've actually just checked the info page of k2 and it does not show any warning.

Could it be cause i'm running it on php 5.44?
here is my dev server spec. It's on my laptop running MAMP:

Web Server Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/0.9.8r DAV/2 PHP/5.4.4
PHP version 5.4.4
MySQL version 5.5.25
GD image library bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
Multibyte string support Enabled
Upload limit 32M
Memory limit 32M
Open remote files (allow url fopen) Yes

All the directory are writable, and all plugins are installed and enabled.

I just enabled the display error from the joomla global config to development, and beside some "strict standard" and "warning", it does not show any error.

But when i try to choose an image from the "browse server" button, the image browser pops-up but i see:
Invalid backend response.
Data is not JSON.

I hope that can help

@Lefteris Kavadas: sorry i forgot to answer one of your question. It's only happening from the back-end. Although i haven't tried to manage content from the front end yet.

well i solved my problem by reverting to MAMP 1.9

I guess the latest MAMP version has a different set-up. I've looked around this forum and tried the suggestions but never was able to fix the problem.

I hope it will help others using MAMP

For reference: Its not MAMP fault. K2 is not fully compatible with PHP 5.4.x
Switch to PHP 5.3.x or 5.2.x will work as charm :)

Thanks
