Brand new site - K2 items show 403 error was created by Pete Monfre
I just installed a fresh Joomla install 3.2.1 into a subdirectory (member.explorationnation.com). I installed K2 (latest version) with no other plug-ins. I am using a default template for now.
When I create an item it gives a 403 error (I'm a superuser). When I create a menu with a category listing or item from K2 same error.
I have set up usergroups in K2, checked permissions in Joomla and tried multiple combinations of public, registered, guest, etc. and K2 items simply don't work.
for the superuser group in K2 I checked "Yes" on everything and "none" on Filter.
When I log out the K2 menu item disappears.
Normal Joomla articles work fine.

Since you are at early development stages I suggest you install the 2.6.8 DEV build. It offers better compatibility with Joomla! 3.2.1.

I have downloaded the 2.6.8 DEV version. Once I installed K2, I lose my formatting of control panel, and can't access K2, get blank screen.

This means there is an issue with your setup. This is not normal K2 behaviour.
Make sure your setup meets the minimum requirements of Joomla! and K2.
Finally make sure that you do not have any K2 extensions installed which are not compatible with the current versions of K2.

Actually I meant the server requirements.
Make sure that the RC template supports K2 2.6.8, since some custom frameworks and templates support only certain versions of K2.
