I noticed that my site :

Joomla! 3.4.3 Stable
Web Server Apache
PHP Version 5.4.43
K2 v2.6.9

...does not engage the K2 social Twitter button when clicked. Although the Facebook and Google+ buttons seem to be working, when the Twitter button is clicked literally nothing happens. (I do not sun any popup blockers etc on my own domains)

Can you please advise me as to how I can resolve this issue?

If the site is not live, twitter cannot access the content of the item.
Please try again when the site is live and if it is not working let me know.

I did put it online and tried a few times, but it didn't work then either.

In any case, I'll do as you said: wait until it will stay live and let you know.
