Dear K2 Developers and Community,

I have K2 captcha and captcha in Joomla global configuration both disabled, but on "Forgot your password?" and "Forgot your username?" pages the captcha html text still appears (not the captcha 'module'). And if a user inputs their information (email) and clicks submit, I receive the following error message:
Notice
Reset password failed: Empty solution not allowed.

Can you please help me resolve this?

Thank you!

Kind regards,

Scott

OK, although the site hasn't been launched yet, it will be live for another 24 hours or so as I work on fixing various issues.

I don't see a way to make the links only visible for moderators or a way to PM you. Here are the actual pages:
www.zhongwenmovies.com/component/users/?view=reset
www.zhongwenmovies.com/component/users/?view=remind

Thanks.

Hello Scott,

I am not sure the extra captcha come from K2. Have you double-checked your template?

I'm not sure either.

I "eliminated" the problem by turning captcha on. lol

Now users have to fill out the captcha before registering, unless they use the social login/registration feature.

Only problem is that captcha version 2 won't show up in all areas, but version 1 will.

Guess that's life.

Thanks.

It's more than probable that these capthcas are hardcoded in the template. Have you checked that probability?

Unfortunately I'm doing the best I can but just don't have the expertise to really understand how to know whether or not it's hard-coded in the template.

You could be 100% right. I checked everything that I could think of myself.

There's nothing that seems to disable the captcha entirely. I can disable the system captcha and k2 captcha, but the html captcha text still remains when I do.

I think it is fine for my purposes, though being able to use captcha version 2 would certainly be a plus. It just doesn't appear in all areas of the site when I choose version 2 in system captcha plugin. Only version 1 will display everywhere for some strange reason.

Thanks for your help. Maybe I can shoot the template developers a message to see what they have to say.
