Frontend editing broken after upgrade to 2.7.1 was created by Sirius Webmaster
We have updated
K2 to 2.7.1,
Joomla to 3.6.5,
JA T3v3 2.6.3 with JA University t3 template,
Contact Enhanced 3.6.5 and
CB 2.1.2.

Frontend editing in K2 is broken.
We have tried numerous settings of jQuery but nothing helps.
Rither the modal window does not show and the Save/Close buttons don´t react,
or modal window shows but Save closes without saving and opens Home page in modal, and Close don´t work, at all.

We have tried using Beez5 template, so I think we can exclude JA.
We also tested the K2 overrides provided by JA in University template. Don´t work.

The FF concole reposrt:
TypeError: parent.$(...).removeEvents is not a function[Läs mer] k2.js:587:20
	<anonymous> https://.../media/k2/assets/js/k2.js:587:20
	n.Callbacks/i https://.../media/jui/js/jquery.min.js:2:27444
	n.Callbacks/j.fireWith https://.../media/jui/js/jquery.min.js:2:28213
	.ready https://.../media/jui/js/jquery.min.js:2:30004
	K

Can you please advice what to do?

Thanks

Done some more testing. This jQuery error only appears in K2.

Am I the only one using frontend editing?
Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The line 587 is quite different.
github.com/getk2/k2/blob/master/media/k2/assets/js/k2.js#L587

Make sure to clear both Joomla!'s and your browser's cache.

Thanks for your answer.
We tried to install that file. Made no difference at all.
Is there nightly builds available? Is it worth trying?

We have tried all we have done so far on 2 sites.
And we have 47 editors/bloggers/journalists that cannot do their work.
I really, really hope there is a solution for this issue!

Thansk

Of you course you can try the DEV version.
If you are on a huge site with various 3rd party dependencies, you should backup before updating.

A couple of things. Are you behind a CDN? Are you getting the same message, and finally is jQuery being loaded properly?

Hi shultman,
Try using jQuery Easy plugin: simplifyyourweb.com/downloads/jquery-easy
I spend hours and hours with that issue and just inslalled jquery easy, published it and "Voilà"!
