i get everytime 500 internal server error if i try to upload image in backend, permissions are ok. and i use K2 v2.6.8, i can't found any php error, how can i solve this problem?

i have the same configuration on the main site (with newsworth).... and it's ok...
Krikor if I asked to change the server to linux the problem would be solved?

Sadly I am not experienced in Windows Servers.

I can give you some alternatives though.
a) Try if Joomla! 2.5 is working properly.
b) Search on Joomla! forums about IIS configuration if you are maintaining the server
c) Contact your hosting provider and let them know about that issue
d) Worst case scenario: Look for an alternate cheap Linux host just for that subdomain.

I haver bad news I am afraid.
It is related to your server setup. It is possible that J! 3.3 does not play all that well with IIS 7.5 .

I could not change the configuration of the site as well. I got 500 errors when I tried to open error reporting.

Finally IIS 7 is recommended for Joomla! sites.www.joomla.org/technical-requirements.html

I imported my K2 items from Joomla Articles and this went perfect.
I now want to go into each K2 Item and add some tags and make some changes. However ever time I click SAVE or SAVE and CLOSE, i get the error below (it doesnt matter whether I make any changes or make no changes and then click save, I still get the error). At this stage, K2 is is unusable.

Then underneath this error message is a completely white page. The styles above the error is messed up as well.

Hi there,

I have a question regarding the title image of a K2 article. I always get an "Internal Server Error" (I think its errorcode 500) when I want to add a title image to an article by using the image tab above the K2 editor window. If I do the same with the button "image" below the input window, it works.
I have tried this with several templates (including standard templates and gk_magazine), tried it with different articles and images. Also I used images from the server and uploaded ones but it does not work. I always get the same error.
Since the normal insertion of images works, I suspect the error somewhere in K2. Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

I emptied and purged table manually as you suggested but did not solve the problem.

The only way not to show the error I found was to disable the Smart Search - K2 plugin which suggests that the problem is in the plugin itself. With Smart Search from Joomla it works normally.

The message The table 'snsp2_finder_tokens' is full
means that particular table which stores values from the finder component is full which means that will affect other components as well.

You can either manually empty that table or better yet purge the results. Try that and let me know.

I did purge but the problem continues.

Beside i have the site offline and development and therefore the Smart search should not have the need to be purged.

I spoke with the hosting service and they indicated me the following error message which, according to them refers to a problem of conflict with k2.
"Premature end of script headers: index.php, referer: www.sophiealgarvevillas.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&cid=54"

You need to purge the finder elements.

Go to components Smart search and purge the results.

After activating the error message in the global settings the system started to indentificar the error as "error 1114 The table 'snsp2_finder_tokens' is full ". I searched the net and saw this error is related to the MySQL base.

I have the follow problem.

I installed and converted the contents for k2 without any problems, but now when an item is saved I get the following error:

500 Internal Server Error

Just a quick one to see if anyone else has seen this.

I've upgraded a site from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.1 and all went well. K2 was one of the better components from an upgrade point of view. Everything is working fine, but I do have one issue though. When you log into administrator, you can use all parts of K2, except the "Extra Fields" and "Extra Field Groups" screens. On these two admin screens, you just get...

First though was that it'd be some files that had corupted on upload, so I uploaded them again, and that didn't fix it.

Some more or less popular components that worked in Joomla 3.1.1 may give a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error on front-end after update process to version 3.1.4. If you have this problem you should install this hotfix – just as you would a normal extension by Extension Manager.

This bug will be fixed in next J!3.1.5. For any other extension related issues, please contact the extension developer for details information.

My host just updated to php 5.3.25

Now my plugin_jw_sig v1.x doesn't show the preview images.
When clicking the [?] images the correct image displays. Only the preview images are not showing.

I've already checked the following:

- Joomla cache folder is writable and his the right username.
- GD image is enabled
- Path to images folder images/stories is correct and there are no errors, just the [?] images.
- showthumb.php is writable 777

folder name is 103 and url to broken preview image shows:
www.SITE/mambots/content/plugin_jw_sig/showthumb.php?img=103//2.jpg&width=170&height=135&quality=70
giving an 500 Internal Server Error when loading the preview images.

Hope somebody is able to help a bit with this old version.

estuve usando K2 desde hace mucho y estoy muy contento con él pero hace unos días actualicé a lnueva versión porque la antigua ya no me permitía incrustar vídeos de youtube.
La actualización fue OK y resolvió el problema de los vídeos pero ahora desde el fornt end al hacer clic en los links del componente com_content me aparece lo siguiente" Error de HTTP 500 (Internal Server Error): Se ha detectado una condición inesperada cuando el servidor intentaba atender la solicitud. "
Utilizo Joomla 1.5. He probado desactivando los parametros SEF del joomla y de k2 pero sin resultado ¿alguna idea?
