I want to stream some videos from another server. Issue can be reproduced thus:1. create an item2. Under video tab, select "browse server/use remote video" tab3. Enter URL of remote video.4. Save item5. Preview of video fails with error.Instead of  remotedomain.com/path/video.flvthe video URL supplied by K2 is localdomain.net/http://remotedomain.com/path/video.flvSo far I have found:The plugin code is being stored properly in the items table in the database:
{flvremote}remotedomain.com/path/video.flv{/flvremote}

However the flvplayer rendered on the page sees this address instead:
localdomain.net/http://remotedomain.com/path/video.flv

when I disable the plugin so the page will reveal the plugin code instead of the player, I see:
{flvremote}localdomain.net/http://remotedomain.com/path/video.flv{/flvremote}

so though the plugin code is being stored in the database properly, it
apparently is being delivered by k2 improperly to the plugin.I don't know where to go from here to troubleshoot further. This is my first time posting, I hope I am in the right area.  I also searched but couldn't find anything relating to my problem.After updating to 2.3 I keep getting 2 to 4 of these warnings messages across the top of the category pages on the front end of my site. Warning: is_array() [function.is-array]:
Only one argument expected in /home/website/public_html/plugins/system/nonumberelements/helpers/assignments.php
on line 447.There weren't any error messages during the update and everything seems to be working correctly except for these warning messages.  I am on a hosted server with Joomla 1.5.15, PHP 5.2.12 and MySQL 5.0.90.  Any help would be appreciated.

I finally did:

1- backup to jos_k2_*** tables in phpmyadmin
2- backup media/k2 folder in ftp
3- removed k2 v2.2
4- installed k2 v2.3
5- restored sql backup from point 1 (restored the original jos_k2_*** tables)
6- removed .txt from each media/k2/attachtments file (you can do this in your pc with a multiple renamer software)
7- uploaded k2 folder to media/k2 in ftp (overwrote everything)
8- removed .txt manually from each record in the jos_k2_attachtments table

It is a long and kinda complicated process, but I guess it is working fine now
PS: Software still shows v.2.2 in the control panel... I guess we'll have to do another upgrade soon

It also updates the specific class to it's latest version. 2. Upload the file from a different browser.

YOu can verify this with phpmyadmin
it should say MySQL charset: UTF-8 when you look at the database

Anytime I try to add or edit and item in the front end, all I get when I click the link is an oversized lightbox appears with a blank page inside, no source and no error reporting either (error reporting is set to maximum). I also have the same problem when trying to moderate the comments for the page. I would like to fix both the blank page issue as well as the oversized lightbox window.

I am new to K2 and I would greatly appreciate any feedback on the issue. I have browsed through the forum and I haven't found a solution to my problem.

After installing K2 2.3 with the Extension Manager, trying to add an Extra field group I have this error message:TableK2ExtraFieldsGroup::store failed - Table

Hi, When i try to upload a zip of a few images using K2's item>image gallery (no spaces in names, no folders, just jpgs), I get the error:

Am slowly reading through what you can do / hos to on K2 and tried to do something on my site and after changing something on the Global section a message has come up: Database error. unable to connect to the database: Could not connect to MySQL.

 

As i've not much experience maybe one of you can tell me what to do please.

 

Do you have your site backed up before the crash?
How many K2 items do you have?
Have you read about the error you are getting - www.databasejournal.com/features/mysql/article.php/3300511/Repairing-Database-Corruption-in-MySQL.htm (scroll down to error)

If you have a large table/tables in k2 with many items, seek expert mysql help before proceeding - especially if you dont have a backup before the errors.

if you use 2 sh404sef plugin for same k2 than for download header cannot modify.

That looks like the normal sql statements that are used every time a page gets loaded.
Since your browzer will not report an error, there may be something in the template causing this.
Check all those settings also.

I got this error

TableK2Item::store failed - Incorrect key file for table



I found this on the joomla site.

I reported it to my hosting provider and they told me that it was an error in their global mysql service and
they had to fix it.

Else I had to repair the jos_session table from MyPhPAdmin:
1) Enter your Hosting Cpanel
2) Select PhpMyAdmin
3) Select your data base
4) Check the table jos_session
5) At the bottom search for a drop list and select the option: repair
the table
That worked for me.



My host helped me fix it and said that is was caused by a lot of adding and deleting.

Concerned me because, that is what we do add content. It will probably happen again

This refuses to work for me, am i missing out something? I have followed the steps but still i get Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in \components\com_k2\views\latest\view.html.php on line 120. Any help please i am really having a headache on this.
