I'm trying to use the most excellent Simple Image Gallery PRO in the template JA Rochea from JoomlArt which incorporates the JA Newsflash module. But the combination of the 2 makes the server crash (locally) and I get an error :

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in XXXXXX\modules\ja_newsflash\ja-newsflashloader.php on line 274

When I unpublish  Simple Image Gallery PRO the newflash works correctly..

Does anyone have a solution ?

I'm using version 1.2 of SIG Pro, Joomla 1.0.12, I've attached the relevant ja-newsflashloader.php file (renamed to .txt so that I could upload it). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No need to send us the ja-newsflashloader.php file!  ;)

Can you upload the site in a temporary folder of the server
to check this issue live?!

How many photos you have in the folder for the gallery?

Also at the ja-newsflashloader.php file
i can see at the line 274 ( as the server error told us ) this code
To break this loop need to verify this expression if ($flashnum != $curnews) break;
Ask also the opinion of the creator of the newsflashloader about his error!

did you try using a different lite box - namely lytebox - in your site admin / mambots/ simple image gallery - click on it and choose the different 'select pop up engine'(right hand side) as this one lytebox = apparently works with all other plugins etc without compatability issues.. just a thought.
