The title pretty much explains what i am trying to achieve.

When i want to display the image in lightbox i get the filename like:

what a beautiful day.jpg

I want it to be like

what a beautiful day

Is there anyway of trimmming the .jpg away?

I have seen this done, unfortunately I have looked through the installation files and I have a good idea of where the code sets this parameter but I cannot seem to eradicate it.  Could someone help please?
