I am using Simple image gallery pro for a while now, but now i am trying to edit the jw_sigpro.xml file.

This is no problem but to FTP the file on the server is. It says it is a critical file and permission is denied. In my FTP client (filezilla) i try to change permissions to 755/777 but this wont work.

Anyone knows how to upload an edited jw_sigpro.xml file on my server?

Hi. This has nothing to do with the extension. It has to do with your server setup and the filesystem permissions. You need to ask your hosting provider about this. What's the reason you want to edit the jw_sigpro.xml file? This is a core file and should not be edited.

Sorry for the looong delay...
Thing is, every time when i am using SIG with a couple of photos on my website, it takes ages to load the page ending up with a white screen. What i was thinking of, is that all the photos are being preloaded which causes the time out. I tried to rewrite the code avoiding the preloading, because i could not find another solution for this. I recently updated to V3.0 but this did not change my problem.

The photos are not preloaded. The best thing you can do to speed things up is set the cache expiration option to a large value.
