I'm running Joomla 1.5.6
I downloaded the 1.5 Native Simple Image Gallery Plugin from www.joomlaworks.net/

In administrator panel, I got to extensions >> Install/Uninstall
I browse for the zipped download then click Upload file and install, but I get an error:

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* JInstaller::install: Failed to create directory. "/usr/www/users/bashop/plugins/content/plugin_jw_sig"

Do I need to change permissions anywhere?  Or else what am I doing wrong?

SOLVED!  I changed permissions on the images folder to 777 and now it has installed.

sorry I too am having similar problem, having installed Joomla on XP Home.

How/where do I set the permissions to 755/757?
