Suddenly cannot add an article in K2 was created by Randy Bell
Can anyone help? I have used K2 for a long time, I do not know what changed, but when i write an article and try to save it I get this. I am not a programmer.

For some reason this file can't be found. com_finder/helpers/indexer/adapter.php

Which version of Joomla! and K2 are you using?

Try disabling the smart search plugin for K2 and/or do not allow K2 results to be indexed.
This is a core extension's issue com_finder and you can find more info on Joomla!'s forums.

This post is also about a similar issue www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/37419-cannot-create-k2-category

thx I removed plugin but it just goes down the line to the next problem, now tags, tried the same idea with smart search tags does not help. Well I love K2, but it is unusable. Unless you have some news on a K2 upgrade or something.

@Randy Bell

Go to the plugin manager and try to disable the finder plugins.

ok shut them all down, still unusable and will not work...

Warning: require_once(/home/klptv/public_html/administrator/components/com_finder/helpers/indexer/adapter.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/klptv/public_html/plugins/finder/categories/categories.php on line 12

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/klptv/public_html/administrator/components/com_finder/helpers/indexer/adapter.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/klptv/public_html/plugins/finder/categories/categories.php on line 12

I appreciate the help, but this is a major problem it seems because still cannot add a category but now I can add an article, so thanks so far. If any other suggestions I can use them.

Since you are still getting this error, it means that the plugin is still executed which means that you didn't disable it. In any case, the error is coming from a core finder plugin ( not a K2 finder plugin ). What's your Joomla! version?

Thanks for responding, I have the latest Joomla 3.x and the latest K2. I disabled every plugin that is listed as a finder which fixed the problem with adding an article, but not changing cats. So if there is a finder that is not labeled a finder I do not know what to do. Thx again for your helpful suggestions.

So do you still get the same message? When exactly the issue occurs? Only when you change category of an item ? Or after you click on the save button?
