Hi!


I'm very new to Joomla and K2;) I would like to add new K2 category however everytime I do it I'm redirected to the blank page. Of course new category is not created. I've checked some forums where I found that I need to enable mbstring, however I check in my Joomla settings and it's ON. Reinstalling K2 is not giving expected results. What else can I do?

My Joomla version: 2.5.27

PHP version: 5.4.30

Please enable error reporting to see the actual issue.
Also are your file/folder permissions correct and your /log, /tmp folders writable?

I've just enabled error reporting in Joomla. After an attempt to create new category i see the error:

Warning: require_once(/home/...../components/com_finder/helpers/indexer/adapter.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/...../plugins/finder/categories/categories.php on line 16

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/..../components/com_finder/helpers/indexer/adapter.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5.4/lib/php') in /home/....../plugins/finder/categories/categories.php on line 16

The smart search plugin is not behaving correctly for some reason.
You can deactivate the smart search component.

Also is the com_finderr folder and the /plugins/finder/categories/categories.php file present in your setup?

I've desactivated Ssearch.

Cannot find /plugins/finder/categories/categories.php in ftp, I only see /plugins/finder/k2 directory

I guess smart search was a problem as now I can create the category

Something might have gone wrong during an update, that's why the folder is missing.
