I activated the login module and made a hidden menu but when the link opens there is no drop menu with the "Add Items' etc
can someone please show me the steps or I am missing something

Using the latest K2 and Joomla 3.4.1

Thanks

The add items/ moderate comments only appear to logged in users.
Furthermore make sure you have published the K2 User module and not Joomla!'s default module.

HI, Thank You for your reply

is there a tutorial for this topic. can get some document to set it?
Also then its possible by your reply to make a front end login for a person who wants to write
a blog on the site right?
so I have made sure the Joomla 'Login' module is off and only published the 'K2 login'

we have a writer who prefers this way. Give him the link and then he logs in and writes an article
and then it gets published. Can I give him 'Editor' access? and still will the module work?

Thanks

Here you go: getk2.org/documentation/tips-a-tricks/201-allowing-users-to-submit-content

The basic procedure is the same as older versions of K2.

The K2 login is a deprecated module, as I stated earlier please use the K2 User module.

I see in the Module List two K2 modules
> user and users< let me know which one to use

I will use the link and create a new one again
if it still does not work can you take a look and login
if you can give me a secured access I can send you the details

Thanks

It's the K2 User one, the other one displays K2 users.

Did you publish the K2 User module and follow the procedure as stated here -> getk2.org/documentation/tips-a-tricks/201-allowing-users-to-submit-content ?

Hi Krikor

thank you for your email, yes. I even deleted all the old modules and categories I created new ones
and its getting so frustrating. I first thought that its been removed from the new versions
but now I see that it is possible.

Can I give you login info that you can take a look into the back-end in a secured area
Please help me

Thanks
Melroy
