I'm working with version 3 of K2.
I get a MySQL Error if I go to a module that is not related with K2.

the error, in module administration, is this one:

Error: 1054 Unknown column 'c.name' in 'field list' SQL=SELECT c.name AS name, c.id AS id, c.parent AS parent FROM #__k2_categories AS c WHERE published = 1 AND trash = 0 ORDER BY c.name, c.parent ASC

and it appears on the "title tag" of the page.
the module is BT Content Slider by bowthemes.com

After a server upgrade I am suddenly getting a blank page with this error on all K2 pages

I know I can comment out the calls for mb_regex_encoding in k2category.php , k2item.php and route.php and the problem will go away, but I would like to know what is going on.

K2, also a new record, edit article or as a result of any action;
This site is unreachable.
The connection was reset.

Coming error and white page. On the other hand Joomla's running smoothly all the components. K2 works fine on localhost.

We're using the latest version of Joomla3. Also, the latest plugin. When we alter a module on the homepage, and add a K2 Data source, the homepage shows as Error 1064. There is no SQL statement shown. It also mentions the page cannot be found.
Can you advise what the issue might be please?

After an update from 1.5 to Joomla! 3.4.6 I have problems with the database of K2. Regularly chrasht _K2items the table with the following error:

It appears that the page you were looking for does not exist.

The website does it again after I fixed the table, but this is not the intention that the website is still out.
What can I do?

Simple Image Gallery PRO does not execute any SQL queries. It has no database tables. The queries that are failing are triggered by the Joomla! installer.

Make sure that you have the latest versions of Joomla! and Simple Image Gallery PRO.

Hello our K2 Comment system went down 2 weeks ago. Before then, it was working for maybe 2 years.

We are willing to do anything, except reformat or erase the database and start over, because we have over 2,000 ( two thousand ) articles from the past 2 Years. Is it possible to reload k2 without destroying previous work? Any suggestions? And no upgrading to Joomla 3 has been taken off the table until be get past this issue.

Also we have tried other Commenting Systems like CC Comments and JComments, but it seems they are not able to read K2 Categories?
Has anyone else come across this problem?

Hi, here's some more info that may lead to an answer.

My live site is broken, so I made a copy and loaded it on MAMP on a local machine. It was also broken. After trying a bunch of things, mostly turning off everything I could get away with, and cleaning up some old data from the live site I exported a new MySQL dump of the live site database and loaded it into my local version. Now the local version was working! I hopefully tried wiping and re-uploading to the live server using the same MySQL dump but it didn't fix the live version.

The PHP settings are different for the local and the live server. I'm attaching the specs for each, labeling one Broken and the other Working to see if any clues can be found there.

The broken one is using PHP 5.5.27 and the working one on MAMP is using 5.5.26 but also works with 5.6.10

SEF using native Joomla (no plug in) with : SEF Enable and URL Rewriting also enable

I've tried to disable SEF and URL Rewriting but it's also not working (with another 'error'). It'll open Front End Home after saving.
