Hello,

can AllVideos actually stream video files on-the-fly from a file stored locally on the server without a streaming server running on that server?

Example:

I have a 1GB video.mp4 on my server domain.tld and want to play it in Joomla with a player like AllVideo. But of course without loading the whole 1GB from the browser (domain.tld/videos/video.mp4) before the player can begin to play the video.

On my server runs emby server, but it streams only if you have logged in before.
And on Youtube and Vimeo I don't want to upload certain videos (nature movies) because I want to keep control over their distribution.

Unfortunately I did not succeed in finding a free streaming solution for my FreeBSD Server that allows streams without logging in before.
