Setting for videos shot in portrait orientation was created by Marianne Arnold
Hi folks,
we've been using the Allvideos plugin successfully for quite some time on our club's homepage. Recently we get videos that we want to publish that were shot in portrait mode (something that is probably going to happen more and more with people shooting for use in social media posts and the like). With the the "Responsive" Theme that leads to the problem that the usual 16:9 player size fixes the frame in height depending an the available width - meaning that the video will be shown relatively small with big black borders to the left and the right even if there is more vertical space on the page or screen.
It would be nice if there was a possibility that for those videos the player box would also be portrait and make use of the available height. Whether the player could look for the actual video resolution or one could pass a parameter (0 or 1 for portrait mode for example) wouldn't be that important to me, just that there is a way to make better use of the available space.
If you have any idea how to do this (or could implement this) let me know. Unfortunately coding this myself is over my head.
Thanks in advance!
