No 'import' button was created by Ian Goodenough
I've just installed K2 onto my 1.7 upgrade site and was trying to import across all my existing Joomla articles, but the "import' button that I was expecting to find in the top right isn't there - what am I missing?
I also tried going back to my old Joomla 1.5 install in case it's something to do with 1.7, but it's not there either.
Any help appreciated.

so dont look at the Item View. Use the Main K2 View instead :)

Can't find a main dashboard view - according to other posts that has been removed in recent updates.

That takes me straight to 'Items'.
Does it show up in your latest updated version? I'm on 2.5.0.
(PS. thanks for helping me out!)

ignore me. I just tried installing on a clean Joomla install and the import button is sitting quite happily in the top right corner.
Must be a problem with my Joomla core.
Cheers.

So, since I am transfering from Joomla to K2, I don' t have a chance. Do I?
Is the only method "clean install"? Then what does is "import" mean?
Please help me to find the Button!!!!!

OK, I found it (by myself :P )
There is a parameter in Parameteres (K2 configuration settings).
Open parameters, Advanced Settings tab. Select No to "Hide Import Buttons", save and refresh. The "Button" comes up!! (the actual names may differ a liittle, since I use a non-English translation)
Thank you all for the participation (even though...).
I continue digging K2 power!!
