I have installed JCE Editor 2.0.15, but when I open an item, there is no editor active. I have checked the setup for Joomla (Version 1.5.23) and the user configuration.

Could somebody please help?

For me JCe worked fine BUT! it screwed up my articles...
So I would be carefull.
Have you activated it in the Plugins Area?

I have checked all elements of working with JCE (activation plugins, users, etc.) but after the installation JCE 2.0 is not working in K2 version 2.5.1.

I have deleted JCE version 2.0 and installed the older JCE version 1.5.7.14, but still the editor is not working with Internet Explorer. With Mozilla Firefox 7.0.1 the editor is working properly. Only problem is that the configuration of JCE 1.5.7.14 is not showing properly.

Is there an alternative for JCE? I don't know any!

Try an "inline" editor chooser. This way you could toggle from one editor to another on the fly. I used to have one in Joomla 1.5 and saw one yesterday online though I do not recall the name.

Search Joomla extensions directory.
